The Upcycle series are made with discarded pieces from my figurative sculptures. Building them is a reprieve from the challenging aspects of working with the figure, and I make a game out of it. I throw the base and after that I try not to alter the discarded pieces much. The outcome is always interesting and usually based on a vessel shape.
